Here is some general interest information for editors of this website. This page will be updated as needed.

  • Training: Here is a screen and audio recording from the new user training session held by Sheepish Design (our design firm). Even if you attended the training, it is highly recommended that you watch the training video again as some annotations have been added. (Click on the icon with the four small arrows in the lower right corner to make it full screen.)

  • Best practices: Here are some tips that we have found to be useful:
    • To login, just hit the Escape key to login.
    • When logging in you can have your browser remember the password. This is not recommended as this is less secure and you will forget the password. Contact Ross Dickerson if you need help with this issue.
    • If you copy from Word to a simple text editor (like Notepad), you will not the problem of extra formatting coming from Word. You will need to reapply any formatting, but you can use your document as a guide. Contact Ross if you need help with this issue.
    • Please do not insert a video until you first talk with Ross. Video files are huge and can be very hard to setup correctly.
    • Help is missing in the WYSIWYG editor for everyone, but this link will take you to help.
  • Getting help: Squarespace has created a special area for Help & Support. This is where to view new user tutorials and videos and to submit support tickets. They are very quick in responding, so submit tickets so that we can all learn.
  • Files: If you need help in finding the right location for uploaded files, please contact Brian Cooke.
  • Photos: Ross has volunteered to continue his work with images for St. Luke's. Please work with him to resize, upload and edit images (as that is a very complex area). If you need any help with photos, please contact Ross Dickerson.
